So, I've become mildly obssessed with word clouds. The Washington Post has them all the time after someone gives a speech. The basic idea is that it is a visual representation of the speech, with the most common words bigger than less common words.
So, I decided to make one for the Book of Mormon: here it is. I did delete names like Alma and Nephi (the only text file of the BOM I could find had the name of the book in front of each verse). I also deleted a huge "Unto" that made all the other words too tiny.
I thought it was interesting to look at, so I've decided to share. Enjoy :)

Dang, for some reason it won't open on my computer. Maybe wordle hates Linux. But that is a great idea, I'm definitely going to look at it at school tomorrow. Also, I think it would be cool to at least see the one that includes "unto" just for fun.
ReplyDeleteWell I finally got it to work, but only in Internet Explorer. Either way, awesome! Hats off to ya
